    Board of Directors

UNIDOS is a non-profit organization that provides direct services and advocacy support for individuals impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking in the Latinx community in Wisconsin through our four core values: social justice, education, empowerment, and collaboration with victims, survivors, and allies in the community.

We are currently looking for people to serve on UNIDOS Board of Directors. UNIDOS Board is committed to reflect the diversity of communities in Wisconsin.

    Election and Term

Members are selected to serve a three (3)-year term. The board consists of 13 members and are elected by the current Board of Directors. We accept board membership applications year-round. Previous board experience is strongly recommended, but not mandatory. Elections are held on the 1st quarter of the coalition’s fiscal year, which ends March 31st.

The Board may appoint a vetted candidate outside of the election cycle if the board is below its minimum composition or if the organization would sooner benefit from a candidate with a valuable skill, credential, or experience.

While serving on the Board, a voting Board member shall not be a UNIDOS staff member, or volunteer in another capacity.

Members of the Board of Directors are not paid and it’s a 100% volunteer membership.

Board membership is open to any person regardless of race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, ancestry, sexual orientation, marital status, handicap, or disability, and members from urban and rural areas across the state.
