Assisting UNIDOS’ Staff

Volunteers will assist with filing, preparation of material such as pamphlets, outgoing mail, and other tasks. Volunteer opportunities are normally available Monday thru Friday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.


  • Comfortable with Microsoft Word and Excel computer programs.
  • Basic keyboarding skills required.
  • Strong organization and multi-tasking abilities is helpful.
  • Don’t forget: a great sense of humor and a smile are always welcome.


Fun (Support) Groups

Fun Groups are a great way for UNIDOS’ survivors to have a great time and participate in all types of activities such as going to theatre performances or partaking in sports activities. Some of the responsibilities of a volunteer include providing transportation, sending out invitations for upcoming events and helping organize the activity. Volunteer opportunities with the Fun Groups are on a flexible schedule and could be any time during the week.


  • Having an outgoing personality is a bonus.
  • Must have great attitude and not be afraid to have a little fun.
  • A valid driver’s license is not a requirement, but is welcome.
  • Organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities are helpful.
  • Must be available in the evening on occasion.


Fundraising and UNIDOS Events

Volunteers can also help organize and participate in fundraisers such as Walk a Mile in Her Shoes (annual event) or our Annual Anniversary Dinner.  Aside from helping prepare promotional materials, responsibilities would include helping with set-up and take-down of informational booths and assisting with the booth during its hours of operation. Availability for this activity is flexible and could be during weekday afternoons and evenings or weekends during the day.


  • Must be proficient in speaking and writing Spanish.
  • Having an outgoing personality is a bonus.
  • Must have good writing skills.
  • Organizational skills and multi-tasking skills are helpful.
  • Open to accepting and providing new ideas.
  • Receptive to survivors’ needs.
  • Available weekends to help with information booths.



Marketing and Communications Volunteer Opportunity


Help take our marketing and communications to the next level! We're looking for a passionate, energetic, and talented bilingual/Spanish marketing volunteer to help get our message out to key audiences. Your project(s) may include external communications, market research and social media. Bonus points if you re a planner, if you are creative and want to help create an cohesive marketing plan! A great opportunity to use your marketing skills for good, or as a stepping stone for someone looking to get the necessary marketing experience. Join our team and help UNIDOS get to the next level. .

Become a volunteer for UNIDOS’ 24/7 help-line LA RED! 


LA RED is the ONLY 24/7 Spanish Language help line in Dane County. It is intended to provide support to victims and survivors of Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence from the Latinx, and Immigrant communities. Three times a year UNIDOS is offering a fourteen hour training program. After the training you will be eligible to volunteer from the convenience of your home (We provide a cell-phone you can take with you for each 5:30PM-8:30AM shift). Volunteers must be proficient in Spanish, 18 years of age, and complete an application, phone interview, and in-person interview.
